I haz very little to do, except lament my very hipster nature, and consider what better things I ought to be doing with my time right now.
i was recently bought a macbook. i already have a laptop... not really sure what to do with it if i'm honest, might appreciate some feedback.  this was always my opinion of macs:
my screen is broken, as is my mousepad, but this is fixed by essentially using it as a laptop, with a separate screen and USB mouse, chances are other than this the mac will be as good or worse than my current laptop... what do?

  1. don't get the mac... you don't get any more value and less processing power for more money. Not a hater, I've had and enjoyed both platforms. Mac has some great innovations (not iPad) they're just too damn expensive for what you get.

  2. Macs are overpriced. I'd go with the PC.

  3. If I'm understanding you correctly, you're saying your current pc laptop is essentially a desktop now, so use the Mac as a laptop. Yeah, Macs kind of sick, but other than being overpriced, there isn't aallll that much wrong with them.

  4. I was always a PC fanboy until I got my MacBook and I'll never go back.

When you buy a Mac, yes you are buying an expensive product with a lot of it being in the "Apple" name. However, you're getting a great quality product and Apple has always treated me well. If you're able to shell out the extra few bucks, I would recommend the Mac. Go on the Apple site and compare the different ways to customize a potential, future laptop, and compare it to a non-Mac laptop of your choosing.

If you do opt for the Mac, I recommend getting Apple Care. Apple Care is Apple's version of the warranty, because they have to be fancy and rename everything something else. (motherboard=Logic board. I don't get it either) You never know when something bad might happen with such an expensive investment. Luckily for me, in the 3 years I've had my MacBook, I've only had to use to replace two chargers which was done for free because I had Apple Care.

If you have any questions about getting a Mac, feel free to contact me.
